Section targeting is the sophisticated way to attract relevent ads to the site content.Section targeting helps us to emphasize or downpaly ads to the content of the site.For section targeting you have to add a set of HTML comment tags into your code. In the very first line (Relevant ads to the site content plays an important role to boost your adsense earning) of this article I have two key words 'adsense' and 'earning'. I want to display adsense ads relevent to 'adsense' and 'earning'. you have to add the sentence or particular words "adsense' and "earning" to be targeted.
The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format:
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
Relevant ads to the site content plays an important role to boost your adsense earning
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
Suppose you do not want to display ads relevent to "AdSense'. You can de-emphasize it by adding (weight=ignore) to the starting tag. So it will look like
<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->
AdSense
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
your final code will look like the following.
(emphasized)
<html><head><title>Section targeting</title></head>
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
your target text
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
</body>
</html>
or
(de-emphasized)
<html><head><title>Section targeting</title></head>
<body>
<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->
your target text
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
</body>
</html>
You can use section targeting to make suggestions about as many sections of a page as you like. It may take upto 2 weeks to display relevent ads to your site content.
I have also seen a lot of posts from other people who are saying that the ads don't match the content of their site(s).
ReplyDeleteI also tell them about section targeting too.
It's just that a lot of people think that just because they put adsense on a blog or website that they are going to start making a lot of money fast - which is really not the case because one has to work on their site. I also agree with the advice that "content is king!"
Right now I'm already at the $100 mark minimum needed to get an adsense payment next month (and I still have the rest of the month to go) but mind you it does take work!
So how do I subscribe to this blog it's great, may need help if you could give me some , I have a blog powered by livingdot.com and I need to have my ad's on different entries but so far I got them just on the first three I did, maybe you know more about the html on this site?
